Cibus - conference "Parma's Agri-food Sector"
Wednesday 8 may at CIBUS
Parma Food Valley takes centre stage at Cibus: on Wednesday, May 8th, the conference "Parma's Agri-food Sector: financial results and territorial promotion initiatives of the various supply chains" will take place from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Workshop Room - Pavilion 4.
Thanks to the Research Office of the Parma Entrepreneurs Association, which will open the conference, the economic data of Parma's agri-food sector will be explained and analyzed, with a particular focus on exports and on the comparison with the exponential growth experienced in the pre-Covid period.
This first introductory segment will allow us to highlight and discuss the impact that our 6 supply chains of excellence continue to have on local tourism. The central part of the conference will be entirely dedicated to the supply chains and to three "best practices" that illustrate our concept of excellence: Open Enterprises (Upi/Parma, io ci sto!), Open Dairies (Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium) and Open Windows (Prosciutto di Parma Consortium).
The insights shared by the respective speakers will be of key importance: Maurizio Bassani (General Manager Parmalat) representing the companies participating in Open Enterprises, Nicola Bertinelli (President of the Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium), and Matteo Cavalli (Prosciutto di Parma Consortium press office).
Closing the event will be another centre that draws considerable interest to our local area, especially where future generations are concerned: ALMA, the International School of Italian Cuisine, which attracts the best students from all over the world.
The speakers at the event:
Cesare Azzali - Director of the Parma Entrepreneurs Association and Managing Director of Parma Alimentare
Marco Ferretti - Professor of Business Economics at the University of Parma
Massimo Spigaroli - President of the Parma UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy
Mario Marini - Marketing Manager of the Municipality of Parma
Matteo Cavalli - Prosciutto di Parma PDO Consortium press office and external relations
Nicola Bertinelli - President of the Parmigiano Reggiano PDO Consortium
Maurizio Bassani - General Manager Parmalat
Alberto Figna - President of ALMA - International School of Italian Cuisine
Access is free for all exhibition participants.
